When The Body Suffers
These times call for healing and nourishment – on all levels.
When we nourish our bodies with healthy whole clean natural foods mixed with nourishing thoughts, we heal. But often we eat to shove down feelings and sabotage ourselves. This result is a lack of the nourishment we need to thrive.
We eat to feed ourselves but often eating is habitual and addictive. To heal these harmful patterns, you can start by grounding and looking within to the story the body holds that it is self-sabotaging your health. Meet yourself with compassion, choose to let go and then move the energy out of y our body, energy field and mind.
If we do not energetically and clear out patterns of inner sabotage, the body will hold onto weight, pain and toxicity that eventually leads to disease and suffering on all levels. But when you can sit with hunger or longing, you start to detach from addictive responses and get in touch with a deep power that heals you.
Once clearing happens, it is a good practice to pause and sit with the sacred void.
Sitting in presence with the unknown may bring you feelings, memories and often inspirations. Ifyou sit long enoug in the mystery, she will give you all of these things and more.
We can be hungry for many things….
In my experience, sitting with the hunger and restricting addiction has helped me access the powerful void and I have been able to reset my nervous system.
Here is how the void healed me.
A few years ago, I co-facilitated monthly new moon events for women in my community. We included a super inspired new moon reset.
We chose locations where we could reset with minimal manmade light outside.
After we settled into circle, we invited the women to feel into their bodies and ground. Next we took time to breathe and find intentions with the body.
Then we danced our prayers.
For some, the prayers were to cleanse and let go and for others it was to create and birth. After the dance, we turned the lights off and rested quietly in the dark. Being quiet in the dark with 15-20 women each month on the new moon was the peaceful reset that my body needed. Rarely have I felt such peace.
