Asheville Updates Spring 2025
Myself and some of our Rebirth Asheville team gathered yesterday to make signs for the upcoming LEAF festival we were invited to participate. We had fun!
LEAF festival is a Western NC staple event. Many many of the incredible artists and families that love world culture attend or have facilitated. Over the past 20 years, 1000s of people a year flock to Lake Eden for LEAF.

Back in the day, when living here between 2000 and 2009, I performed West African Dance. offered ayurvedic wellness classes, bodywork booths and mucho more.
Upon returning 4 years ago, I was thrilled to see and hear how LEAF has expanded and persisted. I got to teach a meditation workshop and am returning in a few weeks to offer a healing circle, energy work, and support a listening booth for the festival.
Family-friendly and filled with opportunities to dance, connect, and celebrate the diversity of arts, LEAF festival inspires us to get outside, camp, and gather in celebration and community.
Helene Helene & Lake Eden
Lake Eden was struck hard by Hurricane Helene. I was beautiful to see and experience how LEAF crew worked diligently to support the healing of the community in Swannanoa (ground zero for HH) to support families, artists and nature to restore
LEAF is on Lake Eden. Rebirth Asheville
In the process of building resiliency in a community, I created a non-profit project called Rebirth Asheville to support wellness services for free to WNC.

It is rough economically and the amount of death of trees and backlash of Hurricane Helene has been intense still but we are building and growing and it is an honor to be able to show up and serve together. (see FB post yesterday where 4 of us gathered to create our signs for LEAF)
MAY 2025 at the Lake Eden Arts Festival
We will be offering 2 booths. One is for Energy Work and the other is a “Listening Booth”. The listening booth is a free service where people can come by and sit and share and we will listen and hold space for what wants to emerge.
